(Nov. 10, 2006 - Kankakee, Illin.) - Nature's Own attends a local dinner banquet put on by Pheasants Forever. This was the 20th annual Kankakee County banquet with a dedication to the protection and enhancement of pheasant and other upland wildlife population through habitat improvement, public awareness and education, and land management policy changes.
The Pheasants Forever dinner had a great turnout with a social hour at 6:00pm and a pork dinner and door prizes starting at 7:00pm. The "live auction" was a success with wood pheasant sculptures, a 12 gauge semi-automatic shotgun (Franchi 712), various pictures, and more were being auctioned off to eager hunters.
Pheasants Forever is a nonprofit conservation organization founded in 1982 in response to the continuing decline of the ring-necked pheasant population.
Pheasants Forever also proposes and supports conservation legislation benefiting the ringneck and other upland wildlife populations at both the state and federal levels.
